Anna, a Diversity, Access and Inclusion expert, and published author, holds various roles including: Adjunct Associate Professor at UCD’s Inclusive Design Research Centre; and independent evaluator of further and higher education, on behalf of Quality & Qualifications Ireland. In addition to Muiríosa Foundation, Anna is also a Non-Executive Director of Fáilte Ireland, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Open University Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning Journal.
Her career began as a Home Economics teacher, and she worked primarily in further and higher education; as teacher, principal, and senior education leader. She served as Director, Access & Lifelong Learning in UCD for more than a decade, where she designed the University for All model, Ireland’s first programme of institutional transformation and culture change, to develop an inclusive and diverse educational experience for all students, regardless of background or circumstances.
Over four decades, Anna has garnered significant domain expertise and knowledge, and established a track record in senior institutional leadership in UCD, FÁS, NRB and St Michael’s House.
